Artist Statement:
.This project's purpose was to examine a landscape that is ever changing. In the bay area there are many large modern homes standing next to smaller older homes. Streets, parks, and other aspects to neighborhoods often improve due to these changes. While there are positive impacts of new developments there are negative aspects as well. Sometimes people are displaced, rent prices go up, and there is also an environmental impact as well. The sad part is many of these homes and apartments remain empty while many people live on the streets.
