Camron King is an interdisciplinary artist who believes in the power of art as a modality for healing and storytelling. When she isn't in the Bay Area studying social welfare and art practice at UC Berkeley as an undergraduate student, she is in her hometown of Phoenix, AZ teaching art fundamentals to kids ranging in age from 6 to 17 at a local art school. She enjoys exploring themes of pleasure, race, interpersonal relationships and menstruation through her artwork

Artist Statement:
.“Pleasure Investigation” is an online interactive padlet, incorporating audio pieces paired with paintings and some written work. The piece is meant to serve as an exploratory space for viewers to investigate the intersections of pleasure, technology and identity.
This project feels like a point in a larger artistic and personal journey. In a world evermore entwined with technology, these paintings and this project act as a meditation on questions surrounding our bodies, our pleasure, how technology intervenes in these intimate spaces and experiences, and the implications.
