Artist Statement:
Wisps of Memory is a project that explored the feelings I had of a meaningful memory from a few years back. The experience significantly influenced my character development and gave me a fresh perspective on my values and long-term commitments. This project was an attempt to recreate a calming abstract landscape of the setting the memory took place in by making cyanotypes using only items found in my own home and arranging the prints in a mosaic, pixelated-like fashion onto a wall. My intention was to convey the pure essence of a memory using a medium that undergoes a sensitive, delicate process.
